International Peace Day 2015

16:00

International Day of Peace is a day the United Nations have selected as day of strengthening peace between ourselves and all nations. This year International Peace Day falls on September 21st and with all the conflict in the world this day feels more significant than ever.

International Peace day is a time when I would normally quietly reflect on the last year but this year I thought I would share how I embrace International Peace Day.

As I don't have a magic wand to solve all the world problems I try to bring calm & peace to my own life through self healing.

One of the ways I self heal is by using Tarot cards or having a tarot reading to work through difficult times. I have a couple of sets of tarot & angel cards that I like to read throughout the year but around this time of the year I like to have a professional reading.

Having your cards read is often done for matters of the heart but I find it is good for all aspects of my life especially if you have had a falling out with someone a reading can help you understand the problem & how to fix them.

After having my cards done & resolving any issues I like to smudge my house.

This smells gorgeous as well
Smudging the house with sage removes negativity and bad vibes. Smudging is easy to do & you can buy smudge sticks from any good wicca store & even on eBay.

Whilst smudging is easy to do it must be done with respect moving throughout the house asking the good spirits to stay and the bad ones to leave ending with you releasing the smoke through the front door. There are some great resources on the internet if you want to investigate this further.

  2. I smudge whenever I move into a house, it's something that has been passed down to me by my parents. We usually use a sage smudging stick which has a really heady scent.

  3. I have never heard of smudging before, I may have to give it a go. My Mum uses Tarot cards, I have always been too scared that they may tell me something bad is going to happen.

  8. I don't do tarot cards or smudging, but do believe in positive energy rubbing off on your life and your home. I like sage butter on my pasta though... does that count?! ;) x

    1. Ha! Ha! Ha! Not quite but I love the sound of that sage butter :) Positive & negative energy definitely rubs off at the home and in life so its always good to surround yourself with positivity and get rid of the neg.
