DW Festive Fitness Challenge Weeks 1 & 2

17:30

Christmas is going to be here in 12 weeks so yep you guessed it – it’s diet time!

For the next 12 weeks I will be embarking on a weight loss and exercise routine with DW Fitness Clubs to get me into my LBD.

I'm 2 weeks into the challenge but I've not started yet as I was waiting for the gym passes to arrive. They have now so it's time to get my ass in gear as technically I have just 10 weeks to go.

Eeek!

To get myself ready for the challenge I did a food diary for just over a week and I’ve worked out a little exercise regime to get me into shape.

Keeping a food diary was relatively easy I don’t have a bad diet so I will not be changing what I eat to extreme but will be replacing snacks with fruit and big carbs like pasta/rice & potato's with salad. I live on my tod so I don't have to worry about alternative meals for him/children. The main reason I believe I keep the weight on is I don’t exercise.

Not any.. zilch… nada.

Exercise Goals
My aim is to incorporate more exercise into my life - working out more and eating less carbs should put me on the right path.

I’ve not set myself a crazy target because it needs to be achievable and easy to maintain once the challenge is over. Hopefully this will lead to shifting just one dress size and toning up!

This week’s challenge? 1 hour of exercise per day for a week.

Weapons of Choice?

Exercise bike & a celebrity exercise DVD - I have a ton to choose from.

Pray for me :(

  8. Good luck with your fitness challenge. I didn't realise Christmas was so close. I always overindulge during the festive season so I should start thinking about cutting down too.

    1. I'm not a massive over indulger but at Christmas it is a lot harder with all the parties and events.. Always seems rude not too!

  9. Sounds like a great challenge - I haven't been able to exercise for a while because of a back injury but I'm back in the gym this week! Don't forget to schedule in some rest days as well though - at least one day per week!

  10. I love the excuse ..... My gym pass didn't arrive! Lol!
Go running, run up and down the stairs, Hoover the whole house every other day, go for long walks, or Dance! A lot.
You can do it. Cut out sugars and you should loose it quicker anyways.

    1. Unfortunately the passes were delayed by DW Gyms who this challenge is in conjunction with. Can't review a product if you don't have it.

  13. I did not realize how close it was to Christmas I better get the Wii Fit out and whip myself into shape for the festivities. I don't need to lose weight but I do need to tone up and get my strength for running around during the holidays.
