My new favorite place :)
Over these last 2 weeks I have been going to my local DW Fitness Club & I have a personal trainer!

Yes, that's right folks a lovely lady called Hannah one of DW's newest personal trainers has been whipping me into shape.

Our first session was rather impromptu and the next day I was in absolute agony - well you know the old saying no pain no gain?!

The next session my body was a bit more ready for what was in-store and after warming up, Hannah put me through a nice little workout that she devised to help get me into shape.

The following subsequent sessions have all been different with all the moves in Hannah's secret green book. Working out has been really good with keeping me focused on the challenge. Just knowing that I'm going to the gym makes me think about what I'm eating and how much water I'm drinking.

Always time for a selfie!
I've had a few sessions with Hannah now and do feel that I'm improving but there is a long way still to go. My weakness is my legs where I carry most of my excess weight - that stepper machine is like stepping into the fiery gates of hell. I hate it.  But I know this is really what I need and if I can get through an entire routine without Hannah having to move to another machine due to all my crying & whinging then we will be #winning.

Joking aside I've never used a personal trainer before but they are really worth it. They can push you to do that extra mile or that extra squat that you can't quite get too on your own. Anyone thinking of joining a gym should definitely consider it.

So here I am just over 4 weeks into the challenge.

Next time... What have I been eating on the challenge?

  2. Well done, I did a challenge thing earlier in the year and it nearly killed me at the start but it did get easier, and I could start to see a difference as well. Unfortunately I stopped but do need to start back on it again at some stage

  5. I really want to get a personal trainer but I really can't afford one :/ At the moment I'm just reading up as much as I can on the internet about getting into shape etc and it's not going too badly but I hope I can keep my motivation levels up! Hope you and the stepper machine become friends soon - it's one of my favourites ;p

  13. Well done on 4 weeks. I went back to the gym a few weeks ago, but it's such a struggle with childcare. I need a homework out I think, but I agree, a personal trainer would be fantastic x

  17. Way to go on your challenge! I've been so distracted with college assignments that I've slipped out of my routine. Right back to it Monday!

  18. There's nothing like a personal trainer to force you into action, is there? There's nowhere to hide when there's some one's literally breathing down your neck! x
