My New Car!

By Ms Pretty L Things - 14:00

4 months ago I passed my driving test.

That was the easy part... then I had to buy a car.
Now buying a car is a headache but the only thing I'm interested in is the ‘fabulous’ factor.

Waaaaaaaaaay before I passed my driving test I wanted the Mini convertible. Great cars but terrible customer service so I kept it moving.

I was a bit miffed about not getting a Mini but as soon as I saw the Fiat 500 I wanted it but they only had manual cars to test drive. Arrrggggggggggh!

Luckily for me they had an automatic coming in that I could test driving in the morning.

Result!

Going home it was hard to not get excited as I really felt like this car was the 'one'. The next morning we got there bright and early before they even opened! The car was fab - I loved it so much I wanted to buy the test model but they couldn't release it for 3 months. So I just ordered a shiny new one & 3 weeks later she was here!

How does it do on fabulosity?

Well pretty darn well.

The interior is simply gawgeous. Check patterned seats, leather steering wheel, Bluetooth for making lots oh-so important phone calls whilst driving & it even has a special little port for Fiat's own Blue&Me TomTom Sat Nav which means no nasty cables hanging down. This is of course all topped off with the retro like dashboard -it's like driving inside a Smeg fridge!

The car is the 1.2 lounge model, automatic, handles very well & she's a great little city car. The car only costs about £35 to fill up & lasts about 9-10 days which is loads as I commute about 260 miles per week but hardly ever drive on the weekend.

Oh I nearly forgot the tax is £30 a year!!

If you’re in the Cardiff area I highly recommend using Wessex Garages the car was around £13,500 & the staff are lovely.

  5. Congratulations on passing your test! It's the best thing anyone can do. My mother in law has the aubergine one in this car and they are real beauties, I'm slightly jealous although I don't think 2 kids will fit in there lol. X

    1. Thank you, it was tough going but I got there eventually. Yes, you are right they probably are not big enough for 2 kids all the time but I bet they love it when they go in your mother in laws car - kids always want to touch it. I think because it looks 'cartoony'!
